Tips for Glossy Nail Designs
Use a base coat if your nails are prone to chipping or peeling. This will help protect them from further damage while they're wet and vulnerable, which is when they're most likely to be damaged by other products or chemicals.
Don't think that all glosses are created equal—just because your friend's favorite gloss isn't working for her doesn't mean it won't work for you!
Do make sure the polish is fully dry before applying the gloss—you don't want any smudges!
If you have thin nails, consider matte, which will make them look thicker than if they were glossy; but if you have wider nails, consider going glossy so they appear slimmer instead of wider.
Don't apply the polish too thickly, or it won't dry properly and will look streaky.
Don't use too many colors at once. Glossy nails should incorporate a maximum of three different shades and should not include more than five different shades.
